Our partisan politics are broken. On both sides.
Radical political theories have replaced common sense, and corruption has taken the place of authentic leadership. Crime and prices are rising. We've never been more divided, even as we suffer together and agree on more basic values than either party or their accomplices want us to realize.
It's time for some New York common sense.
A candidate who cares about the country and our neighborhoods. Someone who puts us first.
"I'm Paul Briscoe. I never expected to be a politician, but I never thought things could get this bad. Washington professionals, with all their skills and experience have brought us here. I can't help but think that my honest attempt to do the best for the people, would be better.
I'm running to represent you and all of us here in the 10th district.
After all we've been through, let's take one small step toward sanity."
Speaking with neighbors and witnessing first-hand the mental health crisis happening on our streets, these issues affect us all, regardless of political affiliation or ideology.
From crime to the unseen enemy of self-censorship, we need to change our city's course.
Emotionally disturbed individuals need our help, and our citizens need protection.
Random acts of street and subway violence come in waves. People pushed onto train tracks, women being punched in the face, and subway slashings take center stage despite reports that crime is headed in the right direction. The recent uptick in felony assaults, robberies, and rape within Central Park alone, proves that the battle to keep our people safe, is far from over.
This progressive City Council has tied Mayor Adams' hands and made it almost impossible for our police department to enforce quality of life crimes.
It's a revolving door for repeat offenders.
Bail reform might have seemed like a good idea on paper to many, but it is not working in real life. It's a broken system without accountability. When will this end?
We are a city of laws. Immigrants are the backbone of America, but they must arrive legally.
We have an influx of people that are being dumped into a system that is overwhelmed, over burdened, and utterly unprepared. As well as taking limited resources away from our own homeless and veterans. Immigrants applying for citizenship through the proper legal channels are being pushed aside, when they should be given priority. Our system is rewarding lawlessness by providing prepaid debit cards, free cell phones, along with room and board in our Hotels. We had no say in this, while our tax dollars are funding it.
Mainstream media is more inclined to push political agendas rather than solely reporting the actual news. The absence of unbiased journalism stokes the fire of division.
Family and friends retreat to social media to spew vitriol rather than engage respectfully at the dinner table. Lifelong relationships dissolve and civility almost instantaneously disappears at the mere mention of anything political in nature.
We the people, should hold anyone in power to task while battling hate speech with better speech. Take the time to listen to opposing points of view and re-introduce civil discourse into our conversations. I'm positive we agree on more than the media would like us to believe.
Together, let's bring back common sense and start voting for people instead of party.
"I've always cared about my neighbors and my neighborhood. I can't believe how crazy and chaotic things have gotten. Someone has to step up and bring common sense and sanity back into our politics. When something is broken, good people have to do what's necessary to fix it. I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and do the work."
"Help! We need somebody...
Help! Not just anybody...
Help! You know we need someone...
Won't you please, please help me..."

Honoring Nicole Malliotakis
"I met Paul Briscoe just short of three years ago when I moved from LA back to my hometown, Brooklyn. Paul is what people describe as salt-of-the-earth and whenever I speak about him to friends and acquaintances, that's the phrase that first comes to mind. He's always willing to help his neighbors. I've seen him interact with people from every walk of life. He's unfailingly kind and friendly to all who are fortunate to meet him. He's the kind of guy who always has a bottle of water in his mailbox for the mail carrier. The kind of guy who offers bottles of water to every delivery driver. He genuinely cares about people, in particular, his neighbors, his neighborhood community, and the community-at-large. Being the selfless human being he is, he has decided to run for a seat in the House of Representatives, knowing full well how arduous this undertaking will be and has already been. Paul embodies integrity, a strong work ethic, unassailable character, and common sense. These are all qualities that are sorely lacking in those who represent us in Washington. Whether you consider yourself a Democrat, a Republican, an Independent, a Liberal, a Conservative, whatever your political leaning is, I strongly urge you to come out in November and vote for Paul Briscoe. He is absolutely deserving of your vote."
"I've known Paul Briscoe for most of my life. He's always been there for me and my family in good time and, more importantly, in some of the worst times in my life. He is someone I could always depend on.
He's trustworthy, honest, hardworking, and always does the best to his ability to get things done. Our concerns are his concerns. He cares about his family, friends, neighborhood, and country. We need more people like Paul Briscoe to fight for us and get things done! In my book, he's aces!"
"I can call Paul my friend. I've known him since he was 17. We worked together for many years and he has always displayed empathy, honesty, and integrity in everything he's done. In over 20 years working together he never called in sick and was always there when we needed a hand. He is the result of a loving mother and grandparents who were dedicated to making him the responsible man he has become. He has always been dedicated to his family and friends, often doing favors for others at his expense. He is responsible, as my wife and I entrusted him to watch over our house and pets many times, which in my house is no easy task.
Will he be an effective representative?
I can only say he will give 100 percent to his constituents unlike many who follow their own agenda. I only hope people see the light and trust him as I do, to do the right thing. "
"I’ve known Paul Briscoe for over 30 years on a personal and business level.
He is an honest and honorable man. His work ethic is incredible as his positive attitude to get things done through excellent communication."
"Paul is an outstanding gentleman. He genuinely cares about people & is always willing to listen & give good advice. He is highly intelligent graduating from one of the best schools in New York City! His views are in step with the people of our great borough.
I recommend him highly!!! "
